PUNE: A 38-year-old woman was arrested by the Wanavadi police for hurting her husband by throwing hot oil on him on Saturday night after a minor dispute between the two.
According to information given by the Wanvadi police, the arrested woman has been identified as Jaya Shersiya who stays in Wanavadi.
Police said that the injured Bharat Shersiya(26) stays in Mumbai and the two fell in love few years ago after which they got married.
On Saturday Bharat had come at Jaya’s home and they started partying, following which, there was a minor dispute. Police inspector Sayaji Gaware of Wanavadi police station said that as Bharat was in an inebriated condition, he went to sleep. “The woman then poured hot oil on Bharat. He has suffered ten percent burn injuries” added Gaware.
Wanavadi police has booked Jaya under section 324 (voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian Penal code.
