Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress (GPMC) led by Pratima Coutinho protested outside Margao police station, demanding to see the three alleged rapists involved in gang rape at Betalbatim. The GPMC, as well as the people protesting outside the police station, have demanded quick action and death penalty to the accused.Gathered

The protest turned violent after the members of GPMC were not allowed inside the police station. Members of Mahila Congress shouted slogans outside the police station. They were soon joined by residents of Betalbatim and others. The people were protesting with placards and slogans demanding death penalty to accused rapists. The Road leading to the police station was blocked.
