Panaji (Goa) The fourth arrested in the hyped and infamous mining scam Imran Khan could face more trouble as the special investigation team (SIT) claims it has identified witnesses who are willing to expose nexus with the then Goa government.
The revelation comes at the time when his bail application order is about to be pronounced by the Special Court, Panaji.

The offense of iron ore theft and they are willing to disclose the facts to the investigation agency,” the SIT formed under crime branch submitted in the court.
The sleuths have apprehended that if Khan is bailed out, there is every possibility he could threaten the witnesses and hamper ongoing investigation.
Jacob Philip, Kancha Gaunder and former nationalist Congress party leader Geetesh Naik have already faced arrest in the case that involved illegalities and irregularities in 182 mining leases. The case also hints at alleges involvement of former chief minister Digambar Kamat into the massive scam. Kamat, belonging from the Congress party and is currently the ruling MLA of Margao constituency in South Goa is likely to face summons notice for interrogation.
Sources also confirm that mines officials could face arrest for conspiring with the accused persons.
