Panaji (Goa) The state finance department in an office memorandum issued today has increased financial powers of the Ministers who can now sanction proposals involving expenditure upto Rs one crore till March 31.
The office memorandum is been issued with approval from Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who also holds finance portfolio.
“The proposals involving expenditure sanctions up to Rs 1 crore shall be disposed by the minister of the department concerned,” the OM reads.
“The arrangement shall be in force up to the end of the financial year 2017-18, that is up to March 31, 2018, or until further orders, whichever is earlier,” it added.
The Ministers were earlier empowered to clear financial proposals upto Rs 50 lakhs.
