Pune – Monicka Vadera Poonawalla launched her jewellery retail venture, ‘House of MVJ’ in the heart of Koregaon Park on Friday, 6th October 2017. The pre-opening party witnessed many prominent names from Indian Politics like Shri Amar Singh, Shri Tej Pratap Yadav, Madam Pratibha Patil and many others. Celebrities from the Indian Television and Film industry like Raquesh Vashith, Sanjay Kapoor and Kiara Advani also visited the store. Ekta Kapoor of Balaji Telefilms and Tanuj Garg, noted producer also graced the event with their presence. The who’s who of Pune were present for this pre-opening party. The launch was hosted by Channda Patil and Moushmi Zaveri Sanas.
Creativity & an inclination towards design and metal came easy to this gorgeous talented lady. Coming from a family of one of the biggest brass manufacturers & designers of their time in North India, Monicka Vadera Poonawalla had forayed into the field of design at a very young age. She has a Degree in Fashion from NIFT as well as studied Digital & Graphic Design overseas but her inclination towards brass came when she ventured into creative artificial & accessory design for a family business in Delhi. She has not stopped ever since, took it up professionally as an exporter and thus recently ventured into retail with her brainchild House of MVJ which refers to Monika Vadera Jewelry.
Monicka has made her own mark socially as well as in the jewellery world by designing some stunning bespoke pieces for both sexes for export as well as the political & business elite. Her inspiration comes from bold architecture as well as mythology mixed with organic elements.Her jewelry isn’t for the faint hearted as every piece exudes eclectic style, statement and individuality for the wearer. We can safely refer to it as ‘Wearable Art’.

House of MVJ will house her high-street prêt collection as well as exclusive couture pieces. There will also be a section dedicated to men. Her brand is also housed at the top multi brand stores across the country.
Her pieces are all immaculately designed and created by Monika and handcrafted by Indian artisans in brass & silver embedded with semi precious gemstones and pearls.
