Calangute police have arrested one native of Pune namely Harish Chandrakant Joshi, age-54 yrs, R/o Umtawado, Calangute, N/o Koregaon Park, Pune during a Narcotic raid conducted during last night at Nr. Bandodkar Statue, calangute.

The accused was found in possession of a narcotics substance namely Ganja. In this connection the police have registered an offence U/s 20(b)(ii)(A) of NDPS Act. PI Jivba Dalvi informed that during late night reliable information was received that one person would be coming to sell drugs at Nr. bandodkar statue Calangute. Accordingly a team was formed and the accused was nabbed red handed with possession of drugs. The police team that conducted the raid under the supervision of PI Jivba Dalvi included PSI Videsh Pilgaonkar, Mahesh Naik, police constables Vidyanand Amonkar, Amir Naik, Nandkishor Kudaskar, and others.
