PUNE: The visually challenged girls of the NFBM Jagriti School for blind girls at Alandi Devachi, Pune, have once again risen to the occasion by achieving 100 percent results in the SSC examination. “20 years in a row our school has managed to obtain a 100% result, this year 11 of our students appeared for the SSC examination for std 10th and all of them not only cleared the exams but their achievements have made our institution proud,” says Mangala Wankhede, principal of NFBM Jagriti School for visually challenged girls.
Sakshi Amrutkar who stood first in the school by scoring 86.20%, plans to pursue her studies in the commerce stream. Snehal Indore with 85.80% have scored the second rank in the school, she also plans a career in banking and will join the commerce stream in 11th standard. Aarti Bairagi is the 3rd bright star of Jagriti School scoring 78.8% and wants to come back to the school as the teacher after completing her B.ED.
