Seven out of eleven members from Sancoale Panchayat have signed a no-confidence motion against Deputy Sarpanch Nandini Dessai. The Panch members have accused her of not taking them into confidence and for executing works without informing them.

The letter of no-confidence motion signed by Sarpanch Girish Pillai, Arish Kabar, Kavita Kamal, Govind Lamani, Succorina Vales, Satish Padwalkar and Narayan Naik has been submitted to the office of Mormugao BDO on Thursday.

However, speaking to reporters, Dessai claimed that she is unaware of this move. “Though I am not aware of the steps taken by some of my colleagues in Panchayat, I respect their decision and want to assure that our Panchayat is united and will remain united,” she told.
