Panaji (Goa): With roll-out of Goods and Service Tax (GST) from mid-night, the Goa government has discontinued the entry fees levied on the non-Goan vehicles entering the State from July 1.
In an order issued on Friday, Government has said that the entry fee which was being charged by Public Works Department at the entry check post will be discontinued from today midnight (12:00 a.m. ) i.e. July 1, 2017 in view of implementation of GST.
PWD was charging Rs 200 for four-wheelers and Rs 400 for commercial vehicles for their entry into State. The two-wheelers were charged no fees.
