The recent gang rape incident at Betalbatim has made people sensitive to visit beaches after sunset. The Betalbatim Panchayat has taken resolution and decided that no visitors will be allowed at Sunset beach post 7:30 pm.

They have also resolved to install lights along the beachside, entry point and at many other secluded places, to avoid any such cases in future.

Local MLA Wilfred D’Sa was also present at the meeting.
