NOT 100 PERCENT BUT PARTIAL SUCCESS IN MOVING THE CONTROVERSIAL CASINO SHIP

Miramar  (Goa) The casino ship M V Lucky 7 managed to move, albeit partially in the first attempt to pull it in deep waters for patch-up of cracks. Sources said the vessel rotated 180 degrees at the Miramar beach during the high tide in the afternoon. However,  it could not be moved further till evening with the salvors postponing the exercise to Monday.  “We are taking step by step action without any haste. The vessel is still unfit so precautions has to be taken…” said the source.
An official said the ship will be taken little further from its present spot to patch up the cracks after which it will be pulled in deep waters off Campal for underwater inspection.
Officials of the government, the salvaging agency M/s AMS Marine LLC, Egypt and Golden Globe Hotels Pvt Ltd were present at the time of the operation.
