Full Name: Jatin Taneja

City: Maharashtra

Age: 24 years

Qualification: BE(computer Sci.)

TNV: When and how did you begin modelling? Were you studying or working before then?

JT: I had participated in a fashion show when I was in college. After my graduation, I came here in Mumbai for my job in TCS. I always loved working out and staying fit and thought about working as a professional model. I started searching what can we do to pursue our career in modeling. Then I came across this word Mr India. That’s where I started to work more harder on myself to get this title.

TNV: Why modelling when you could have settled in for a more stable permanent career?

JT: Well I had always aspired to become a model. That’s why I had chosen Mumbai as my preferred job location. I have a perfect stable job right now but I don’t think a stable or permanent job can make you happy. It’s the dream or the fulfillment which can make you happy. That’s why I just want to follow my heart and chase my dreams

TNV: Tell us about your first assignment, if any, and how did it happen? What was the experience like

JT: As I told, I have only participated in a fashion show in my college. I also went to a casting company for some assignments or projects and they offered me one. But they said I need to get a portfolio done before entering in this field. At that time I was just eager to work on some projects so I paid them and I didn’t even get my pictures.  So here I was scared and having some trust issues with people in mumbai. Then I decided to go for only reputed organisation to start my career with.

TNV: What do you feel makes you a good model? Your face? Your body? Your attitude? As opposed to others?

JT: According to me the only thing that matters is the attitude. That’s where everything changes. You can have the best body if you have the attitude to work harder than before.

TNV: Why Rubaru Mr India when there are so many local pageants happening ??

JT: I won’t lie here, I tried in 2 different organisations as well and I was selected in one of them as well. But after I was selected I was asked to give  some money which I thought was inappropriate. That’s why I wanted to work with a group who has some reputation and I can trust. This is why I tried for Rubaru Mister India and I am proud of my decision now.

TNV: Did Mr. India just happen to you along the way – or were you preparing to take part in the pageant?

JT: I have been preparing for Mr India from very long time. I went for auditions multiple times to get selected in Mr India.

TNV: Tell us about how you train for it. What is the regimen like? What are the challenges involved?

JT: I train for it physically and mentally. Because both aspects really important. Physically I do the same thing which I used to do like mixing every form of workout.(Weight Training, calisthenics, crossfit). To prepare my self mentally I just read books and watch videos of famous peoples like Simon Sinek, Jay Shetty. Challenges are always part of any learning process so yeah there are so many challenges like having a good modelling physique, improving your overall personality because people are going to see us as a role model in future. I would not say it as a challenge but it’s a part of it.

TNV: What makes you feel you should be the chosen one? What’s different about you as a contestant?

JT: I would go with the attitude, personality and courage. I have the courage to complete with the best contestants from india and have the attitude of winning the title. Coming from a very low background and dreaming this big takes good attitude and courage, so yeah, I have it and looking forward for my title.

TNV: How will winning the Mr. India pageant affect your life?

JT: First of all I will get the opportunity to represent india which is my biggest dream and it will make my parents proud and that would be the second best thing which will happen. After winning this title I am also hoping to step up my career in modeling and acting.

TNV: What are your views on ‘Save Girl Child’ Campaign’ ?

JT: According to me this is the best thought. Because I belong to the place(Haryana) where saving girl child is very important. If I ever get the opportunity to send any message or any kind of camp or any opportunity to be part of this great initiative, I would be honoured to do it. If I get the opportunity to educate or send any message to the people.of India then it would be to the youth. Because youth is the future of India so we should target the people in schools, college and who just starting working.
