Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today said that overall progress of the new Mandovi bridge being constructed across River Mandovi near the city was 87 per cent.
In a written reply tabled in the state assembly to a question asked by Congress MLA Ravi Naik, Parrikar, who also holds finance portfolio, said that as per the information given by GSIDC (Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation), the overall physical progress of the bridge was around 87 per cent.
”All 465 piles (72 in river and 393 on land) are completed. All 94 pile caps (4 in river and 90 on land) are completed. 91 piers out of 94 are cast for the viaduct portion on the Northern side and Southern portion.”
