PADUKAS STOLEN FROM SHRI SWAMI SAMARTH SEVA PRATISHTHAN TEMPLE IN YERWADA

PUNE: ‘Padukas’ made of silver and worth Rs 60,000, were stolen from Shri Swami Samarth Seva Pratishthan temple at Yerwada, in wee hours ofThursday.

The police were informed about the crime by one Govind Swami, and a case of burglary has been registered by Yerwada police. As per the information disclosed by Yerwada police, the incident took place between midnight to 4.30 am. Police said that the burglar gained entry in the temple after cutting the locks of the entrance gate of the temple. Police said that the Padukas weighed 1.25 kg. Assistant police inspector S. Bobade is investigating the case.
