Panaji (Goa): Trying to set a precedent to his people, the Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has announced that he will not speak on mike or loudspeaker post 10 pm.
“I have decided not to speak on mike after 10 pm. In fact, I have already started saying no. Once it becomes ten I put off the mike,” Parrikar said on the Floor of the House.
He was referring to the restrictions on use of loudspeaker or loud music post 10 pm. During the poll campaign in December-January, Parrikar addressed series of late night public meetings at various Assembly constituencies. The meetings, most of the times lasted even post 10 pm.
“We are elected representatives of the people and we need to set example, we cannot break rules and regulations,” Chief Minister said.
Parrikar said that rules are meant to be followed and there has to be punishment for breaking it.
