Panaji: Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today reviewed the traffic situation in the State following series of accidents witnessed during last two days.
“We will have stricter enforcement of the laws on the road. The safety on the road would now be given paramount importance,” Parrikar told reporters after chairing the meeting.
State Chief Secretary Dharmendra Sharma, the officials of State Transport department, police and tourism were present for the meeting.
Five people were dead when car rammed against ongoing truck at Corlim village, 10 kms away from here.
Deputy superintendent of police Dharmesh Angle told reporters that the department has listed various requirements before the state government, the procurement of which will start soon.
