Panaji (GOA) The State Government today hiked the pension to the retired journalist to Rs 7500 per month.

Government has amended the Goa State Working Journalist Welfare Scheme Rules, 2002. Currently, the journalist are paid Rs 6000 per month as pension.

Government has also notified that 50 percent of the pension of the journalist will go to the family, in case of death.
