MARGAO (GOA): O Re San Joao, a traditional form of San Joao celebrations will be organised for the fourth consecutive year on June 24 at Colmorod, near Keni Furnitures, Margao.

The event, coceptualised by former chairperson of MMC Savio Coutinho, is being held with great enthusiasm wherein one can witness people of all ages participating in the various activities held during the event.

During the morning session, the women of Colmorod and Ratwaddo get together to prepare the traditional delicacies like patoleo, holle, sozz, sanna etc.

The most important feature of the celebration is a match of ‘taabla’ played between the ladies of Colmorod versus the ladies of Ratwaddo, and the people of the respective wards cheering their team. Besides this, a copel competition, San Joao outfit competition and other fun games are held.

This year, a game of ‘logorio’ shall also be a part of the event.
