PETROL PUMPS IN GOA TO REMAIN SHUT ON FRIDAY

Panaji (Goa) The petrol pumps across Goa will remain close on Friday as the Goa Petrol Pump Owners Association (GPPOA) has announced its support to the nationwide one-day strike call given by the petroleum dealers on October 13.  

The United Petroleum Front has given call for the nationwide strike press for various demands including better margins and inclusion of petroleum products in the Goods and Services Tax.

“We have decided to support the nationwide strike of dealers on October 13. There will be no purchase or sale of petrol onOctober 13. We request people to purchase the required amount of fuel till October 12,” GPPOA said.

“We warn that if the demands are not met at the earliest, fuel dealers will be forced to stop, indefinitely, purchase and sale operations from October  27,” the association said.
