The Goa mining delegation comprising of Goa Mining Peoples Front (GMPF) chief Puti Gaonkar and other Goa BJP MPs and leaders today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.

Speaking to reporters GMPF chief Puti Gaonkar said that the PM has assured the delegation that the Central government will try to find a solution to the mining crisis in Goa but will not directly interfere in the matter of the Supreme Court.  

“The PM has said that he will look into the matter but also hinted that he cannot interfere in the matter of the supreme court,” Gaonkar said.
