Maina-Curtorim, Margao and Curchorem police, in a joint operation, have cracked Guirdolim-Chandor theft case within 24 hours.

Police have arrested Anvar Sikandar Shaikh from housing board colony in Porvorim and Sarfaraz Mohammed Adam from Zoriwado-Davorlim and have recovered the stolen items. A Swift car used in the crime has also been attached.

It may be recalled that the duo had barged into a house at Guirdolim-Chandor from the back door in wee hours on Sunday and had fled with gold and other valuables after severely assaulting an aged couple staying in the house.
