PUNE POLICE ARRESTED TWO ACCUSED

Pune: Pune Police arrested two accused which are involved in stolen bikes. Two youths have been nabbed by the Samarath police station on Monday , they are involved in stealing 11 two- wheelers total worth Rs. 5 lakh 40 thousand across the city.
Both accused was identified as Vitthal Ghogre (20) and Abhijeet alias Papya Chavan (22), both resident of Chaufula in Daund. Police get a tip off about the accused bike thieves were arrested by police from the area near Shahu Udyan in Somwar Peth on the basis of a tip-off provided to them by an informer.

According to the information provided by Samarth police station, many citizens living in the jurisdiction area of Samarth police station have informed police about the rising number of vehicle thefts in the area. Police have also checked various CCTV footage to catch hold of the bike thieves, however, on Monday they received a tip-off from an informer about the possible suspects who were nabbed by police.

During interrogation, Ghogre and Chavan revealed of stealing 11 bikes from various police station areas of the city comprising Samarth police station, Hadapsar police station, Chandan Nagar police station and Faraskhana police station. Police have recovered eight vehicles from them and are questioning them for the recovery of other three.
