Pune: Parking vehicles along roads at night proved costly for a few in the Kalyaninagar area with five audio systems being stolen from five cars.

Rajesh Aelachiya (37), a resident of Kalyaninagar, told Sakal Times that when he woke up on Saturdaymorning he found the window glass of his car broken.

“I was shocked to see the music system worth Rs 25,000 in my car was not at its place,” he said.

Aelachiya said the suspects forcibly removed the music system from his car. “This caused damage to the dash board. I shall have to get it repaired and replace the broken window glass,” he said.

Later he learnt that more music systems were stolen from cars parked in his locality . “Most of these cars were parked along Road number 10 in Kalyaninagar,” he said.

Another car owner Faisar Fidvi (33) who has lodged FIR with the police said that music systems were stolen from two of his cars parked on the road.

“We are checking CCTV footage from the area to trace the suspects,” said an officer of the Yerwada police station.
