Siolim (Goa): In a desperate attempt to nail the culprit(s) involved in the horrific murder of a woman in the coastal village, the police with the help of forensic experts from Goa medical college (GMC) have collected their second evidence in form of fingerprints from the charred body.

Sources told TNV that the team collected the evidence during medical examination and sent the samples for examination at state’s lone Finger Prints Bureau.

“We have collected the fingerprints found on the charred body. The doctors and our team traced the evidence during the medical test,” an officer said.

Hours back, SP Kartik Kashyap circulated photographs of gold ornaments, which were retrieved from the body, in a bid to trace the victim’s family. The police have also shared the first evidence with its counterparts in Maharashtra and Karnataka for clue, if any. “All the three states’ police are going through recent missing cases and meeting the complainants for any breakthrough,” said the officer.
