Pune : In a shocking case, gang rape FIR lodged against two youth by a woman in Pune on June 16 has been found out to be a fake. According to police, two goons from her town asked her to lodge complaint against these two youth to settle the score.

On June 16, 34-year-old woman from Khedgoan village near Pune, had lodged FIR against two youth Ajay Nawale and Prakash Chavan that they gang raped her in the pretext of giving a lift.

According to her FIR, she was waiting for a bus near Choufula in Pune to return to her village when two youth in their SUV offered her lift and raped her in the moving vehicle.

However, police in investigation found out that the FIR is fake and both the youth were falsely implicated.

According to police, two local historysheeters Dada Gavan and Sandip Jagdale from Narayangavan had instigated the woman to file complaint as they wanted to settle score against the alleged accused.

Police added, “then these historysheeters asked the woman to lodge FIR against the duo. The woman also approached police on June 16 with two witnesses who told police the car number of two youth. However police found out that these two witnesses are also aide of these historysheeters.”

According Suhas Garud, police inspector, “both the alleged accused during investigation said that they were not near  Chofula on June 16.”

“They also informed police  about two historysheeters —  Gavan and Jagdale – who had earlier threatened two youth that they would send them to jail.”

The money was paid to the woman to file complaint.
