SHRINIVAS DEMPO NOMINATED AS VENUE DIRECTOR FOR FIFA U-17 WORLD CUP

Panaji (Goa): The chairman of Dempo Sports Club and ex-president of Goa Football Association (GFA) Shrinivas Dempo has been nominated as the ‘Goa venue director’ for the ‘local organising committee’ (LOC) of the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017.

The venue director is the highest position at each venue level and is responsible to ensure that everything goes on as per the plans and requirements. The venue director has to make sure that the venue is able to deliver a fantastic show for the tournament.

Shrinivas Dempo played a major role to push things forward for the first FIFA inspection visit conducted by Inaki Alvarez back in February 2014. He also played a key role to get Goa selected as a venue not only for the FIFA U-17 World Cup but also for the AFC U-16 Championship 2016.
