The first edition of the VINORA, All India Photography contest cum exhibition held on 18th and 19th of February at Kala Academy Panaji, received an overwhelming response with over 300 entries coming in from all over the country. The All- India photography extravaganza was organised by founders of VINORA – Photography & Entertainment Solutions:- Viraj Malkar, Noufal Kaipally, Raju Salkar and Vithoba Mhalkar.
The event was inaugurated by internationally accomplished singer and social activist Hema Sardesai along with the eminent fashion and commercial photographer of Goa Prasad Pankar.
The two themes of the contest “Emotion through lens” and “Incredible Wildlife” offered a diverse perspective to photographers from all over India in participating at the event.
Speaking to Team TNV, organiser of the event Raju Salkar said that it was nothing short of a surprise that they received so many entries within just two days after the event was planned. He also thanked guest of honour and judge for the event Prasad Pankar for guiding them and providing them with inputs about aspects of organising an event of this scale. He also thanked famed playback singer Hema Sardesai for accepting to be the chief guest for the event.
While Bharti Naik and Kedar Marathe clinched 1st and 2nd place respectively in the category of Emotions Through The Lens, Amit Soyru won 1st place and Suvidha Venktesh Prabhu Chodnekar secured 2nd place in the Incredible Wildlife category. The winners were awarded with a cash prize trophy and a certificate.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Hema Sardesai appreciated the extraordinary efforts taken by the organisers – Viraj Malkar, Noufal Kaipally, Raju Salkar and Vithoba Mhalkar to organise an event of such scale. She also congratulated all the winners of the event and all the participants as well.
The guest of honour for the event and also the judge Prasad Pankar said, “This event is a big success and will act as a platform to many upcoming and enthusiastic photographers.”
Team VINORA announced that, this event will be conducted annually.
