Bicholim (Goa):

Continuing with its motto of serving the society, Goa-based NGO ‘Straight From Heart’ donated books, study material and uniform to 41 students at Government Primary School in Ladfe, Bicholim.

The low-profile function which was attended by mentors of the NGO including Uttam Kumar and Nikhil Chhabra saw students receiving the material which would be useful for them during the just-started academic year.

Principle of the school Mr Ganesh was also present on the occasion.

“The aim of the NGO is to spread smiles and touch the heart of people. We are happy that we have gathered 41 smiles today,” said Kumar addressing the gathering. He said the NGO will continue working for the society and upliftment of the needy people.

He said NGO had chosen this school in Bicholim considering the fact that the schools in rural areas need more attention though they are very high on educational front. “Goa is at our heart and we want to continue this beautiful journey in the state,” Kumar added.

The students who accepted the books, study material and uniforms were happy to get it. “We are thankful to the NGO and everyone who has supported us,” the school teacher said.
