In a special meeting at Surla-Sattari, the locals have decided to ban the consumption of liquor in their village. The villagers have signed a memorandum opposing tourists who carry liquor and create a mess in their village.

Locals claim that they are annoyed over the regular misbehaviours and rubbish created by tourist under influence of liquor. The areas of Surla-Sattari are popular picnic spots but the problem starts when picnikers consume alcohol and misbehave.

The villagers said that they will present the memorandum opposing liquor shops in the village to MLA Pratapsingh Rane and will demand to ban liquor in the village.
