THREE ARRESTED FOR ROBBING TOURIST AT BAGA

A tourist from Bengaluru, Karnataka, was allegedly assaulted and robbed of Rs 35,000 cash at Baga late on Monday night.
Calangute police have arrested three persons in connection with the incident, so far.
 
Calangute police station incharge Jivba Dalvi said that the victim, Mohammed Khalid, 27, a resident of Ambedkar Nagar, Bengaluru, lodged a police complaint that on Monday night at around 11.30pm, four unknown persons assaulted him and his friends at Tito’s Lane in Baga and robbed cash from his car.
 
During the investigation, police identified one of the accused persons as Lalsab Nadaf, 20, a resident of Ganganagar, Mapusa, who was arrested on Wednesday afternoon. The police interrogated Nadaf and got the names of the other three accused, two of whom are minors, aged, 15 and 16. “We are trying to trace the fourth accused person in the case,” PI Dalvi said.
 
The two minors were brought to the Calangute police station and later sent to Apna Ghar, Merces.
Police registered an offence under Sections 341 and 394 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
