Gunwanti Paraste (Pune): Three men have been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a 19-year-old transgender after kidnapping him on the night of June 17 in Vadgaon Budruk on Sinhgad road. Cops are searching for the fourth accused in the case.

The victim who resides in Upper Indiranagar had gone to meet her friend in Deccan area. While returning he went to get food from Sinhgad road, when the accused persons accosted her around 9 pm.

The incident took place in a guava orchard near a nullah. “The accused persons had abused and assaulted him. They threatened to kill him and then dragged him to the spot where the three men had sex with him. Hearing the commotion, a fourth man came there. The victim thought that he will save but this man also sexually abused her”, police said.

After the victim approached Sinhgad Road police station, a FIR was registered and her medical examination was conducted. “The delay in filing the case was due to the medical test”, the officer added.

Police have arrested three men identified as Rahul Machhindra Kamble (19) of Manikbaug in Vadgaon Budruk, Monya alias Monish Manav Mazumdar (21) of Dhayari and Sonya alias Pradip Sunil Kamble (19) of Vadgaon Budruk.

They have been charged with offenses under sections 377 (unnatural sexual offenses), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Assistant Police Inspector Devendra Shinde is further investigating the case.
