NRAI wants 2022 CWG boycott over exclusion of shooting
NEW DELHI: National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) president Raninder Singhcalled on the Indian government on Tuesday to boycott the Commonwealth Games in 2022 over the Birmingham Organising Committee’s (OC) decision to drop the shooting discipline from the Games programme for the 22nd edition. Raninder also informed that he would be raising the issue with IOC president Thomas Bach, who will be visiting India from April 18-20 to meet the newly-elected executive body of the Indian Olympic Association led by Narinder Batra. Now IOA says it supports Sisodia appealing against CGF reprimand
NEW DELHI: Days after saying that triple jumper Rakesh Babuand race walker KT Irfan will be liable to sanctions for breaching CWG’s ‘no needle policy’ , the Indian Olympic Association(IOA) on Tuesday said it supports officials who had appealed against the CGF Court decision to oust the two athletes from the Games Village in Gold Coast. Rakesh Babu and Irfan were ordered out of the Games Village after needles were recovered from their bedroom, prompting CGF to issue a strong-worded reprimand to the Indian officials including Chef de mission Vikram Sisodia, general team manager Namdev Shirgaonkar and athletics team manager Ravinder Chaudhry. MUMBAI: Virat Kohli expressed his disappointment with his batsmen not getting the partnerships to lead Royal Challengers Bangalore in the chase against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday. Neymar out until at least May 17, eyes ‘dream’ World Cup
SAO PAULO: Brazilian superstar Neymar said Tuesday that he won’t be back playing at least until the second half of May, when he is scheduled to have his final medical exam following foot surgery. “There isn’t an exact date yet. More fuel, biometric gloves for F1 next season
PARIS: More fuel and biometric gloves for drivers were two of the changes agreed by Formula One’s ruling body the FIA on Tuesday for the 2019 season. The new gloves are designed to improve safety and give medical staff a better picture of a driver’s condition after accidents. (AFP)

The King’s School to host Matthew Sinclair
PANJIM: The King’s School, Margao will host well known former New Zealand test and ODIs cricketer Matthew Sinclair for a two day specialized cricket coaching clinic from April 20 to 21.
Matthew Sinclair on tour to India as part of his specialized cricket sessions presented a similar session at St Francis Cricket Academy, Bangalore before proceeding to The King’s School Goa.
Matthew Sinclair is well known for his double hundred on his debut match scoring 214 runs versus West Indies is 1999 followed by another double hundred of 204 versus Pakistan in the same year. (Herald)
