Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today inducted legislator Mauvin Godinho and former MLA Vishwajit Rane into the Cabinet, taking the tally of ministers to eleven.
Governor Mridula Sinha today gave oath of secrecy to Godinho and Rane, both former ministers in Congress led Cabinets. Sources stated that both the minister would be given portfolios on Monday.
Rane had recently quit Congress party to join BJP after the latter failed to form the government despite winning on majority seats.
Godinho on the other hand had joined the BJP on the eve of recently concluded elections and was successful in retaining his seat from Dabolim constituency.
Parrikar had inducted nine ministers during the first phase of expansion. Two BJP, three Goa Forward Party, two MGP and two independents were given oath, leaving two positions vacant.
