Valpoi (Goa) Bharatiya Janata Party is confident of winning Valpoi by-election seat along with Panaji with the historical margin which will continue party’s success in the country, party Goa president Vinay Tendulkar said.
Tendulkar was addressing a press conference in Valpoi in presence of party’s state General Secretary Sadanand Tanawade and candidate Vishwajit Rane.
“Both of our candidates are getting good response from the people. BJP is sure of winning both the seats with historic margin,” he said. Tendulkar said that the opposition candidates are involved in rumour mongering against BJP candidates.
“In Valpoi, the rumours are being spread that the BJP workers are not with Vishwajit Rane. But I have personally seen the popularity of our candidate and people are rallying behind him. The BJP cadre is working overtime to ensure that he gets maximum margin,” Tendulkar said.
He said that Rane will get elected with maximum margin which will surpass his margins of the past. “History will be created in Valpoi. In Sattari, the atmosphere is completely in favour of BJP,” he said.
Tendulkar said the fight is one sided with Congress candidate Roy Naik heading for a major embarrassment after the results.
He said that Rane has worked for the overall development of the constituency and after election the focus of state government would be to provide maximum government employment to the people from this taluka specially for those who are less educated.
Tendulkar ruled out that minimum age criteria for government job is 10th pass.
He said Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar would be touring Valpoi constituency on August 19-20 during which he would be visiting all the panchayats.
BJP General Secretary Sadanand Tanawade said that Ravi Naik was trying to spread rumours against Vishwajit. “Roy Naik can’t talk so his father is doing the job for him of spreading the rumours,” he said.
Tanawade said Vishwajit will get historic margin this time wiping out the Congress candidate from the race.
