Panaji (Goa): A day after All India Congress Committee Secretary Girish Chodankar accused government’s favourism towards bhatkars (landlords), the BJP has called him mentally unstable asking to urgently go for medical attention.
WAR OF WORDS BETWEEN CONG AND BJP OVER BHATKAR ALLEGATION
“The congress secretary appears to have lost his mental balance and BJP advises him to get medical attention as early as possible. BJP condemns the irresponsible and dirty attitude of Chodankar to use words not spoken by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar,” BJP North President Hemant Golatkar today said a day after Chodankar accused State government of meticulously trying to harass the middle class citizens to benefit few creamy in the tourism industry.
He also claimed that controversial statements by Parrikar and Town and Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardessai was exposing ‘Bhatkar’ mentality of the state government.
Golatkar charged Chodankar for spreading his casteist remarks and trying to create rift and tensions in the peaceful Goan community. He also said the ‘Bhatkar’ and ‘Familyraj’ mentality is actually deep rooted in all Congressmen as during their long rule in Goa they neither enacted any legislation nor started any schemes for the poor and downtrodden sections of middle classes. ” BJP is confident that the intelligent Goan society will not fall prey to such canards and willful misleading propaganda,” he commented.
The BJP also stated that the party and the government has always been working for the downtrodden and the middle class through various schemes.
