PORVORIM (Goa): The Water Resources Department may take up rejuvenation and restoration of the natural water springs on priority basis across the state as it has been observed that many of the natural water springs are not in a good condition.
Speaking to team TNV Water Resources and Fisheries Minister Vinod Palyekar said that there is an urgent need to restore the natural water springs across the state. “I have asked the department to submit a time bound report by June 30,” said Palyekar.
The Chief Engineer may direct concerned Executive Engineers to identify natural water springs in their respective divisions and sub-divisions.
A report with the regards to the natural water springs which needs to be taken up for rejuvenation and restoration is expected to be submitted by June 30.
