Former Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Tuesday said that he is ready to contest by-poll from Mandrem as an independent if he is denied ticket by the BJP.

“If I am denied ticket by the BJP to contest in the by-poll from Mandrem then I will contest as an independent,” Parsekar said adding that he has the support of BJP’s Mandrem block.

Parsekar further said that he would not join any other party or contest the by-poll on any other party’s ticket.
