BJP members of Mandrem, in a meeting called by ex- CM and Mandrem MLA Laxmikant Parsekar, have demanded that the recently inducted ex-Congress MLA Dayanand Sopte should not be given ticket in by-polls and also warned to work against Sopte to defeat him.

They have also demanded a clarification from BJP chief Vinay Tendulkar on why they were not taken into confidence before inducting Sopte.

During the meeting, Parsekar said that the people of Mandrem have a good opportunity to teach a lesson to those who use unethical ways to gain in politics.

The meeting was attended by around 400 supporters along with ZP and party workers.
