Ribandar (Goa): All eyes are set on whether the former chief minister Digambar Kamat will depose before the investigating team today.
The special investigation team had summoned him last week to appear before it for investigation on Tuesday. The senior Congress leader, protected with interim anticipatory bail, however skipped the summons citing ill-health and requested to depose on Friday (today).
The Margao legislator facing probe into illegal condensation of 40 mining leases will face a barrage of questions by the SIT pertaining to the case.
It is however left to see if Kamat makes his appearance this morning, considering his past records wherein he has skipped summons more than responding to it. Interestingly, he has always been lucky to escape arrest be it in international Louis Berger bribery scam or a string of mining related offenses being probed by SIT.
