Goa Minister for Water Resources Vinod Palyenkar on Wednesday said that government through its various programmes and schemes was striving to empower women.

 

Speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural function of a ‘Consumer Rights Awareness’ workshop organised by Goa Panchayat Mahila Shakti Abhiyan to enlighten women regarding their rights as consumers at State Secretariat at Porvorim near the city, he said,”The Government through its various programmes and schemes is striving to empower women. Women do not lag behind in any field when compared to men.Women excel in every field.”
