Canacona (Goa): It was a usual rescue operation for Gautham Bhagat, but it turned out to be the most memorable one. A cobra which was rescued from a house in Canacona literally vomited out a bottle, which was in his stomach.

The incident happened at Cauvrem village in Canacona, when Bhagat rescued a snake, that too common cobra. The footage which has gone viral shows cobra with the bulged stomach vomiting out a plastic bottle after it was rescued as it rolled on the rough ground.

Bhagat said, “When I saw the cobra, I presumed he has eaten some big animal. His stomach was bulging. Later I saw when I rescued it. I was shocked that the bottle emerged out from the belly of the reptile”.

State forest department official said that this is the first ever documented scene showing cobra throwing out a plastic bottle. “The snakes usually have a tendency to empty undigested things from their body when they are caught so that they can escape,” he said.

“There is no clear information why cobra gulped down the bottle, but there is every possibility that it might be having rat or frog in it due to which he swallowed it,” he said.
