Q1. First of all many congratulations to you for winning the Audi Goa Rubaru Mister India 2018 (1st Runner up) title. How does it feel?
Answer: Thank you so much for these lovely wishes. Winning this prestigious title means a lot to me. I am really happy and honored that I got elected as Audi Goa Rubaru Mr. India 2018 (First Runner up).
Q2. What was your reaction when the announced your name at the grand finale of the Audi Goa Rubaru Mister India 2018 pageant in Goa?
Answer: I was on cloud nine. After all the pre-pageant special awards and segments were over, the finale was the event where all the hard work and preparations of so many days were going to pay off in some way or the other. The moment I got to hear, “The first runner up is Dilip Patel…”, I was like a bit of blank for a few moments and then I walked ahead and received my award. It was a great moment. A life changing moment I’d rather say.
Q3. How does it feel to get associated and also becoming the face of India’s biggest and oldest surviving annual male pageant?
Answer: It feels really great to get associated with the nation’s oldest surviving male pageant. The pageant that has produced numerous titleholders who have brought laurels and pride to the nation and now I am joining this golden list of Rubaru Mister India titleholders. The feeling is really wonderful.
Q4. How has your journey been so far with the Rubaru Mister India Organization?
Answer: The journey has been extremely wonderful. I made some of the greatest friends and met so many amazing people whom perhaps I would have never met if had not joined the pageant. The mentors are really great. The organization and people working with it are like gems, they are always there for you no matter what the situation is. I am really happy to become a part of the Rubaru family.
Q5. What are the responsibilities that come with this prestigious title and how hard it is to fulfill those responsibilities and also to live up to the expectations that have been set on you?
Answer: This prestigious title has come with various responsibilities like you now I have become the face of the Rubaru Mr. India pageant like you mentioned above. The Indian youth starts to look up to you as role model, before winning this title I also used to do the same. I used to look up people who have achieved greater heights and I still do look up to a lot of people and takes them as a source of inspiration. Similarly, I would have also become a source of inspiration to people who must be thinking that if a guy next door could make it this big then we surely can as well. So, I always try to live up to the expectations that my well-wishes have set for me and other than that representing the Rubaru Group and the Mr. India pageant at the social front is also a part of one of the major responsibilities that has come with this prestigious title.
Q6. This year the Rubaru Mister India pageant celebrated their fifteenth anniversary and you are the fifteenth Rubaru Mister India titleholder. How do you feel about that?
Answer: It was indeed great to get associated with the biggest organization when it comes to male pageantry in India, perhaps Asia as well and that even when they are celebrating their 15th anniversary. The pageant was moved to Goa for the first time and the event was really one of the most spectacular events that I have been a part of in my life. Plus, winning the title is like icing on the cake.
Q7. What do you think are the qualities that are required to be a Mr. India?
Answer:Mr. India is a title when one thinks about gives an image of a man who is one thinks is perfect in every way. He is considered as a perfect Indian gentleman of 21st century who is cultured, academically driven, confident, well-spoken, sophisticated, humble, modern and of course good looking. Prior to winning the title, I also had a similar image in my mind and I am trying to be like one.
Q8. Your biggest support in life.
Answer: My dad, he is my biggest support and also my greatest strength.
Q9. Any quote of saying that has profound impact on you.
Answer: The only way where you want to be is not reached merely by talking about it. It is rather reached by working towards it.
Q10. Any message for your well-wishers and supporters who are reading this interview.
Answer: Keep loving and supporting me the way you guys have done till now, be humble, be positive, work hard and always respect your parents. Thank you.
